  11.         recognize that he was being socially
  12.         engineered.

  19.         his fingers flew over the keyboard and
  20.         ashes from his cigarette fell into the
  21.         keys.

  26.         min pairs. dork. he made a note to
  27.         fuck with him in the future. he
  28.         swigged his coffee pensively and dialed
  29.         some of the local bbs'. they were
  30.         always good for a laugh or two. he
  31.         liked fucking with lamers.

  36.         z, formally spanky the ueber hacker,
  37.         sat at his keyboard typing furiously.
  38.         he wore all black, contrasting sharply
  39.         with his pale skin. the handle of a
  40.         silver pistol was visible just above
  41.         his belt. he lived in a loft nowadays,
  42.         large servers and workstations spread
  43.         liberally throughout. the only light
  44.         emanated from glowing monitors.

  47.           for. it was tough to get, though,
  48.           so i will be looking for a little
  49.           extra.

  52.         he smiled as he thought of the large
  53.         influx of clean cash to come. he
  54.         heard that paris was nice this time
  55.         of year. he could go there and chill
  56.         for awhile, maybe retire for a few
  57.         months. his reverie was broken by 
  58.                 the telephone. he snatched up his
  59.         headset.

  63.         wow. he was going to get his payoff
  64.         sooner than he planned. he logged
  65.         off and headed for the kitchen, where
  66.         some nice 'imported' wine awaited.
  67.         he popped the cork and poured some
  68.         into a crystal wine glass, bought
  69.         and paid for with money he 'borrowed'
  70.                 from a bank in the Caymans. he took
  71.         a sip just as he heard the elevator
  72.         squealing.

  76.         he went to the elevator, still
  77.         carrying his wine glass. he felt
  78.         pretty good. the door opened to
  79.         reveal an older man wearing an
  80.         expensive armani, carrying a silver
  81.         briefcase. he smiled at him and
  82.         pointed at one of his machines.

  84.         they walked over to one of his
  85.         workstations. he sat and logged in,
  86.         fingers tapping madly. he found
  87.         the file for his client, who was
  88.         standing behind him, silent.
  89.  
  90.         then z was dead, his neck now
  91.         nonexistent.

  93.         the client took the file and left.
